Pre-Holiday Pamper

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Before I go on holiday, there is nothing I love more than a good pamper session.
I love going to the local spa from a pedicure, manicure and eyebrow wax! Getting pampered by someone else is always nice. However the night before I go away, I give my face, hair and body a real treat.

I start my giving my face a good exfoliation with my Elemis FreshSkin Skin Glow Exfoliating face wash*, this smells amazing and leaves my skin looking clean and fresh.
I then hop in the shower where I carefully shave any unwanted fuzz away.

After using my shampoo and conditioner, I treat my hair to Aussie 3 Minute Miracle when travelling abroad your hair can take a right beating from the sun, sea and chlorine. So I thought a good way to prep my hair and give it a little boost before I go away, was to use my favourite conditioning treatment. Whilst my hair is still damp, I apply my Milk_Shake Conditioning whipped Cream*, this is amazing, I can't rave about it enough, it always leaves my hair looking glossy and super soft.

We all like to bare our super sleek, fuzz-free, smooth legs on holiday, so to set the scene for strutting my stuff I use my new purchase Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub, this just smells like..heaven in a tub! I rub this in all over, and as soon as I begin to rise it off, I can feel the difference in my skin! It feels amazingly smooth. I follow this up with Soap & Glory Butter Yourself Body Lotion, this leaves my skin feeling extra soft and smelling amazing.

21st Birthday Haul |

Monday, June 17, 2013

Wow guys, it has been a while!

Things have been pretty crazy recently, I moved departments at work and now work full time. With learning a new department and being tired, I just haven't found the time to sit and blog. Now however, i'm slowly getting used to the changes and couldn't wait to get back in the blogging swing of things!

This past week I turned 21! So exciting, My birthday was on Wednesday and I spent it with my closest family & Aaron. I was completely spoilt and received more than I could ever have hoped for. I'm the luckiest girl ever! On Saturday I had a party at the local cricket club, with family and friends and had the best time (more on that in a seperate post, coming soon!)

I thought what better way to get back into blogging than show you guys what I received for my 21st birthday. I am by no means bragging or showing off, I just thought you guys might like to see what I was lucky enough to receive!

Off Aaron I was lucky enough to receive an I-Pad Mini, which I have had my eye on for ages! I can't get off it. He also surprised me to a short break in PARIS, I couldn't believe it when he told me and I feel extremely lucky! We go in October and i'm so excited! As 'little' presents (his words not mine!) he got me a Selfridges voucher and a record of the single that was number 1, the day I was born! An extremely cool present.

Off my parents I was lucky enough to receive a Michael Kors watch, it was love at first sight!!! My mum bought me tickets to go and watch Wicked, i've been hinting for ages so glad she picked up on them, ha! Also my mum knows my addiction to Yankee Candles, so it only seemed right to buy me one.

My little brother bought me this gorgeous Pandora charm! I love collecting charms that will always remind me of a certain time in my life.

From my Brother-in-law, I received two cans of cocktail (he knows how much I love a good cocktail!) and the best chocolate lolly in the world, these bad-boys are from thorntons and taste AMAZING!

Off my two gorgeous nieces, I got this lovely star necklace. I don't really wear necklaces but this one is very simple and dainty, perfect for me. It makes it even more special that it is off my two favourite little people.

Finally, my amazing sister bought me this key ring, It is a quote from my all time favourite poem, and also the quote I would like as a tattoo. It reminds me of my grandma, and makes me think of my loved ones.

As you can see, I was very lucky and feel extremely blessed to have such amazing family & friends in my life.

I am jetting off to Mexico tomorrow with Aaron, so excited! I shall post as regularly as I can via my i-pad, and will keep you updated on my holiday via my Instagram @Rachael_CB

I hope you guys had an amazing weekend!
