No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick.

When the cream blush craze started, I didn't really get it. I didn't understand how they could be any better than normal powder blushes?! Silly, silly Rachael. Cream blushes are the shizz! I first branched into them with a lovely coral Topshop blush, and have slowly developed an addiction.
My latest favourite cream blush is from No7, I picked it up during the Boots 3-for-2 offer, and there was also a £5 No7 voucher..winner winner.

Apart from skincare, i've never really tried anything from the No7 range. On a recent Boots browse *one of many*, I just thought i'd have a little snoop at the latest release and as soon as I saw these Pop and Glow Cream Blush Stick I knew I had to have one! I swatched the shade Pink Blossom on the back of my hand and was fell in love instantly.
Pink Blossom is a gorgeous pink shade, which leaves my cheeks looking naturally flushed. It is perfect for Spring and i've worn it almost everyday since buying it.
When you first apply it, it looks kinda neon pink scary, but once blended in it's just gorgeous.

The formula is obviously cream but once applied to the skin it goes to a powder, which helps to set the blusher for hours. It is so easy to apply and blend, I tend to dab some on the apples of my cheeks, then blend it in using the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I love that even though it is a powder formula once applied to the cheeks, it still leaves my cheeks looking glowing and fresh.

I also swatched the highlighter which was amazing, i'll definitely be picking this up soon. It was a gorgeous subtle pink, nude with a shimmer. It is the perfect highlight for Summer.

Have you tried any of the Pop & Glow Blushes? Which is your favourite No7 product?

Manchester Great North Run | Charity.

Fundraising! The great thing is it won't cost you any more, plus we've got lots of voucher codes and special discounts so you can actually save money while you help your good cause. There is no cost for the good cause either – our service is totally free. #easyfundraising #fundraising #http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk

For those of you who don't know, I am taking part in the Manchester Great North Run today!
It is a 10k run, which happens every year on Deansgate Road. I have never taken part in any kind of run or marathon before, so this is a huge deal for me!

Earlier this year my sister suffered a miscarriage. She was quite far on and it was a really, really sad and difficult time. Especially for her and her partner. After leaving the hospital she received a small memory box. Inside it has a teddy bear, a poem, a birth acknowledgement certificate and in some cases photographs. This memory box helped my sister a great deal, it gave her something to always remember her baby by, and that is something we will all be grateful for.

Simba Simpson's Memory Box Appeal are the amazing charity that provided my sister with something so small, yet made a huge difference. So I am doing the 10k run for them and for all the people who have lost their babies.

Any donations large, or small would be hugely appreciated. You can sponsor my via my Virgin Money Giving Page found here.

You can also have a read of the Simba website, and read about all the amazing things they do, and read stories about all the people they have helped here (http://www.simbacharity.org.uk/)

Thank you so much to everyone that has already donated. I will keep you updated on my sweaty progress, haha, throughout the day, probably on my instagram (@Rachael_CB)

Wish me luck!!!!

xx

Home Wishlist #1 | Living Room.

Hi Guys! Since we have bought the house I have been obsessed with home websites, browsing daily through Next Home, Zara Home, H&M Home and Notonthehighstreet.com.
I could spend hours and hours traipsing through each websites, and once i'm in the Next Home store..anything could happen. I end up coming out looking like a bag lady! As I have been lusting over so many items, I thought I would share them with you in a wishlist post. I'm going to separate each wishlist into rooms, as I have SO  many cushions, ornaments, pictures and mirrors on my lust list.

Firstly, the living room. We want to keep our living room really bright, as there is one giant window and we want to make the most of the natural light we get. Our sofas are cream, and our furniture is really light so I wanted to keep all accessories along the same lines.

Next:
I absolutely love Next Home, it is by far my favourite place to buy furniture and decorative pieces from. They always have amazing quality products. I instantly fell in love with this gorgeous lantern (link), I think it will look really nice next to our fireplace. So cosy.. I love this butterfly picture (link), It's really simple, but so lovely. How comfy does that cushion look?! (link) It looks so soft and snug. I think i'll be fighting Aaron for that bad boy. The oval tray (link) is supposed to be for jewellery, but I want it to keep our keys in. We are always losing our keys, so I think if I put this little mirrored dish on the sideboard next to the front door, we can drop our keys into it as soon as we get home..then we'll always know where they are! Common sense.

Not On The Highstreet:
I think this is my favourite online website, they have so many quirky gifts, home pieces and jewellery. Aaron is a huge fan of reclaimed wood, which is what the wooden heart boards (link) are. I think they will really liven up an otherwise plain wall. At £75, they are slightly expensive but they'd be great to ask for a gift or as a little treat to yourself and your new home..that's my excuse anyway! Haha.

We should be ready to move in within the next couple of weeks, I think maybe middle of Summer, which isn't so bad..we'll get to host a few bbqs, haha. We are so excited and just want to get ready and settled into our new home.

What are your favourite home stores or websites? I'd love to know. Do you like any of the pieces I have featured?

Super facialist Tea Flower Pore Purifying Clay Mask | Una Brennan

One brand that i've always wanted to try but never seemed to get round to buying was the Una Brennan Super Facialist range. I heard so many great things about the products, particularly the Pore Purifying Clay Mask. I am a sucker for a clay mask, anything that promises to detox and unclog pores is what seals the deal for me.
The benefits of this mask are; Purifies and restores glow to complexion, Absorbs excess oil to unclog pores, Salicylic acid to clear skin.

The mask thoroughly removes any dirt, grime from clogged pores, gets rid of any excess oil (which I love, as I have quite an oily chin) and dries out any blemishes. I'd definitely recommend this for people with oily skin as it instantly absorbs the oil, leaving your face lovely and soft.

I only use this mask twice a week, as although it isn't harsh on the skin, it does tingle a little but after a few minutes the feeling completely goes. I expected the texture to be really thick and hard to manage, so I was surprised to find out it was the complete opposite. It's quite milky, and applies to the face really easily. Whilst it is drying, which only takes a few minutes, it's really refreshing and cooling on the skin which is really nice.

As soon as I removed the mask, I noticed that my skin looked instantly brighter and really energised. It definitely help to reduce the size of my pores and also helped to reduce the redness of any blemishes I already had.

I really enjoy using this mask, as it feels like a little treat to my skin, and could definitely rival some higher brands!

Have you tried anything from the Super Facialist range? Which is your favourite clay based mask?

Fashion Haul | Spring/Summer.

Hi Lovelies, it's been a while!
The past couple of weeks has been really hard and the loss of Aarons mum still doesn't feel real. Life seems to be getting somewhat back to normal, or as normal as it can be. Last week blogging was the last thing I felt like doing, but the last couple of days i've really missed it. I thought i'd kick things off with a fashion haul. I've been doing quite a lot of shopping recently, they aren't joking when they call it 'Retail Therapy'. I've picked up some lovely bits for Spring/Summer from Matalan, Topshop, Miss Selfridge and River Island.

Matalan Jersey Style Parka £30. Link

I don't really own many jackets, I have one winter coat, a leather jacket and some cosy hoodies but as the weather has been getting a little warmer, I wanted something that was thinner material and easy to just throw on and go. I love browsing in Matalan, they have some great clothes at amazing prices. When I spotted this gorgeous khaki parker, I knew I had to have it. My winter coat is like a much thicker, furrier version of this and I love it, so when I spotted this thinner, more casual version I popped it straight into my basket. It looks great with skinny jeans, a plain tee and my white converse, a great spring outfit.

Miss Selfridge Black & White Geo Trousers £28. Link

On the 15th June I am going to Crete with Aaron, my Mum and younger Brother for a week. I am a sucker for holiday clothes and i'm constantly picking up new bikinis, shorts and dresses. One thing I struggle with when it comes to holidays is what to wear at the airport, I want something that looks nice, but is comfy and practical for sitting on a plane for however many hours. In our local BHS we have a small Miss Selfridge section which is where I spotted these lovely monochrome trousers, they are amazingly comfy and baggy, so they'll be great for strolling through the airport Duty Free and sitting on the plane. I also think these will be great for in the evening with some nice sandals and a white vest top.

River Island Coral Curved Hem Skort £28. Link

I absolutely love this skort! I have wanted one for ages but never found one that I really liked, until I saw this one in River Island, as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I made a beeline straight to it and grabbed my size I think this will look perfect in the evening on holiday, with a lovely tan. It's really nice and feminine, with it's wrap front and flower-like form.

Topshop Scallop Crop Vest £12. Link

I don't think i've ever owned a crop top. I really don't feel comfortable with having my stomach out so has always put off ever buying one. That all changed however when I bought the trousers from Miss Selfridge that I can wear high waisted with a crop top and NOT have my belly out. I love these scallop crop tops from Topshop, and at only £12, they aren't badly priced either!

Topshop Petite Moto Tile Print Leigh Jeans £40. Link

Since buying these jeans, I have seen them everywhere. I usually stick to plain jeans but I decided to venture out into the world of patterned ones. Topshop jeans are my absolute favourite, they fit so well and last ages before losing their shape or colour. I love the print of these, it isn't too in your face but a gorgeous colour and print for Spring/Summer.

River Island White T-Shirt £16. Link

I'm a sucker for a quirky tee, and this 'Champagne and Strawberries' one was no exception. It's really baggy and has roll sleeves which I love, most of my tee's these days have them. I think this will look great with some skinny jeans, converse and my parka. Keeping it casual, yet quirky.

What is your Spring/Summer fashion must have? Any shops you're loving at the minute?
