Dynamic Lip Duo | Revlon & Reve de Miel.

You know when you put two things together and they just..work?! Chocolate spread & toast? Boiled eggs & soldiers?
Well there's another legendary pairing that has come to my attention..Reve de Miel | Link. and Revlon's Colorburst Matte Balm (in the shade Audacious) | Link are a match made in lip heaven!

I've been suffering from dry lips recently and matte lips are just a no-go. I decided, to see if it made any difference, to apply my holy grail lip balm on my lips and it made the world of difference!

It helps to create an even bolder colour, and lasts really well on the lips around 5-6 hours! My lips feel so hydrated and really velvety. I've also applied this lip balm with a MAC lipstick and it worked just as well!

So if any of you are dying to wear a matte lipstick, but suffering from pesky dry lips, i'd definitely recommend applying a lip balm first.

What is your favourite lip duo? Do you love a matte lip?

Candle Haul.

Hello, I'm Rachael and i'm addicted to buying candles....

Everytime I go shopping or anywhere near a shop that happens to sell candles..I can't leave without having at least one in my shopping bag.

I thought i'd show you guys the candles that i've picked up over the past week. Yes that's right 3 candles in a week. Actually it was over about 3 days but hey..don't judge!

Laura Ashley:Rhubarb and Vanilla Boxed Candle//Link: I picked this up at the Laura Ashley sale, for about £9.40, which can seem quite pricey but it was originally priced at £14.00, so I thought it was quite a bargain! It smells so yummy, Vanilla with a hint of Rhubarb. The packaging is quite plain, but looks really classy. I'll definitely be saving the glass packaging when the candle is finished.

Homebase Ocean Breeze Scented Candle//Link: Can I just take a second to mention that this candle was £4 for 20 ounces, that's incredibly cheap!! It is definitely a bathroom candle, probably because of the colour and the name, haha CREATIVE! I've read the reviews and they're really mixed, some saying the smell doesn't last long and others saying the smell lasted for ages..so we'll see. Either way for £4 you can't moan. I may have to pop back to Homebase and pick up some others..

Barton Grange Village Candle Cranberry Grapefruit//Link: This smells AMAZING! Definitely the yummiest one. The Grapefruit is really strong with just the right amount of Cranberry, which gives it a really zesty kick. I've read lots of reviews on the Village Candle's and they are all really positive, so i'm excited to give this one a go. I've already eyed up my next Village Candle which is Lemon Pound Cake, which smells JUST like Lemon Drizzle Cake. YUM.

I'm saving all these candles for when we move into the new house, so i'll keep you all posted when i've given them a fair trial. We move into the new house on the 30th August which i'm so excited about!!

Are you a candle-a-holic? Which is your favourite candle/scent?

July Favourites.

July has gone amazingly quick! I know every blogger says this, every month, but seriously..where has the year gone?! Before we know it it'll be Christmas...is it wrong that i'm kind of excited?!

Garnier Intensive 7 Days Smoothing Nourishing Lotion//Link: I picked this up from Boots a couple of weeks ago and i've been using it ever since, after I have a shower. One thing I look for in a body moisturiser is that it sinks in quickly and doesn't leave behind a sticky, slippery residue. Which is exactly why this one has won a spot in my favourites. It sinks in virtually straight away, leaving my skin feeling amazingly soft. It smells so good, not too strong but a lovely hint of the Cocoa Butter. I would say that '7 Days' is a little bit of a stretch when it comes to how long it hydrates your skin for,  but I would give it a good 24 hours, which is still really good for a body lotion. I suffer from quite dry skin on the backs of my arms and this has helped to completely get rid of the dry skin, leaving it so smooth and soft.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm:Audacious//Link: This has been my favourite lip product for the whole of July! I have the shade Audacious which is a bright, creamy coral shade. They have a balmy feel, with a matte finish and have a Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Mango and Coconut. I love the retractable crayon style of these as it stops you from having to sharpen the product. I'll have a full review of this coming soon, because I can't recommend it enough.

The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream//Link: I've only been using this product since the last week in July but holy hell..it was love at first sight! It transforms from a white cream to suit your skin tone. Pigment filled capsules burst when applied to your skin, releasing the colour inside. I picked up the shade 01, which matches my skin perfectly! It blends really easily and leaves my skin with a lovely glow. It gives a light to medium coverage which is exactly what i'd expect/want from a BB Cream.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Eyeshadow//Link: I've raved about this product so many times but I absolutely love it, and i've been reaching for this eyeshadow so much in July. Pink Gold is a gorgeous everyday shade, it leaves a lovely subtle pink colour with a slight gold shimmer. It's just so easy to apply and blend on your lids. It doesn't crease and it lasts for hours!

Marc Jacobs-Daisy Dream//Link: Everyone and their fish has been blogging and raving about this perfume, and I don't blame them! The notes of blackberry, fresh grapefruit and succulent pear are just..delicious! The perfume smells incredible. I have a full review on the perfume here. So I won't bore you too much with the same rambling points, so head on over and read all about it :)

What have you been loving this month? Can you believe how quickly this year has gone?!

Boots Points Wishlist. by rachael-b92 featuring beauty products

I don't know about you but I justify EVERY Boots purchase, with the fact that I can collect points on my Boots card. For those of you who don't know about the Boots Advantage Card, it is a loyalty card where every £1 you spend, you get 4 points. You're points add up to money which you can spend in-store or online!
I convince myself that with my points I can treat myself to things for free...though REALLY...they aren't 'free' as you've spent a small fortune every week to get yourself there. But hey, every little helps!

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask//Link. I'm a huge fan of Origins and LOVE their Gin Zing moisturiser. I've been eyeing up their Overnight mask for a while now and never picked it up, so this would be the perfect opportunity!

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipstick//Link. I have lusted over a Rouge Coco Shine lipstick for SOOO long and I just need to add one to my lipstick stash. I've read so many raving reviews and they just look so sophisticated. I'd pick the shade Dialogue as it's a lovely soft neutral toned red. Perfect for Autumn.

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour//Link. I own so many nail varnishes, it is turning into some what of a problem..according to Aaron. I just laugh in his face and order more. Pfft MEN. That being said the Chanel nail varnish in the shade Rouge Noir, has to be mine! It is a deep, deep vamp red, almost black. Which I think would look so classy on your nails during the Autumn/Winter months.

Philosophy Melon Daiquiri 3-in-1//Link. I only own one Philosophy shower gel and it has been well loved! It leaves my skin feeling so soft and the smells are incredible. Everytime I walk past the Philosophy counter I spend ages sniffing all the different bottles. They probably refer to me as the crazy sniffer lady in my local Boots but hey! Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do..
If you know me, my alcoholic beverage of choice would be anything Daiquiri! So this shower gel/bubble bath is right up my street!

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot//Link. I own so many Soap & Glory products and they are one of my favourite body/shower/bath brands. I am after trying a new mattifying powder, as I have been using the Rimmel one for AGES. I've heard amazing things about the Soap & Glory one so I really want to give it a try.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick 3D Super Colour Volume Lip Shine//Link. Firstly..Soap & Glory..what is with the name of this product?! Could you not pick anything shorter. Secondly..really want to try these! I love the look of the shade Raplumsal..a lovely plum colour and the play on the name is just..made me laugh out loud! They claim to be super moisturising with a subtle vanilla scent..YUM.

Do you have a Boots Advantage Card? What are you planning on picking up?

The Not-So-Glamorous Essentials.

There are so many beauty products that get overlooked, lost in your vast collection of mascaras and lipsticks..We've all been there, don't deny it!
This essentials post is a little different to the usual 'Essential Lipstick' and is focusing more on products that I use everyday. Here are a list of the products that aren't exactly glamorous, but I couldn't live without.

Right Guard Total Defence 5//Link: When I get warm or stressed I overheat quite a lot and feel really paranoid that i'm sweating, i'm probably not, but I still worry about it. Therefore deodorant is a must. I'm not fussy about the brand, but i've been using Right Guard for the past couple of weeks now and it works great.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius//Link.: With the sun FINALLY deciding to make an appearance, the flip flops and sandals have been out in force. Which means a quick pedicure is a must, but walking around all day in flat shoes really doesn't do wonders for my feet. They get quite sore and dry, which is where Heel Genius comes in and saves the day. After a bath I will scrub my feet, slather them in this, and pull on some fluffy socks. I take them off the next morning and my feet are so soft it's amazing.

Batiste Dry Shampoo//Link.: Dry shampoo has to be the greatest thing invented. I'm not one of those girls that can/will wake up at 6a.m for a shower before work. Nope, that alarm is getting snoozed and an extra 30 minutes sleep is essential. Otherwise aint' nobody happy! Just a quick spritz of this in my roots and my hair is completely refreshed.

Pearl Drops Instant White 4D//Link.: I've been using Pearl Drops for a while now and have definitely noticed a difference. My teeth feel smoother and look much more white and shiny. I use normal toothpaste in a morning, then use Instant White when I get in from work and before I go to sleep.

Razor: No idea who this is razor is by, it's just a simple disposable one. However I couldn't live without a razor of some sort in my life. Being dark haired, my body hair is quite dark so it was always really noticable and I got really self conscious when I was at School, so as soon as I was old enough to shave I did!

What are your everyday essentials? Are you a 'shower at 6a.mer or a snooze kinda gal'?!
