Alternative Advent Calendars For Adults

Christmas is quickly approaching and one of my favourite things (aside from all da food!) is the advent calendars! They are already lining the supermarket shelves and every year I try & narrow down which one I would like. I usually stick to good old Cadbury's which does me just fine. However I know some people aren't a fan of chocolate (I silently judge you all) and are always looking for an alternative that you can get on board with. I've done a roundup of my top 5 alternative advent calendars including skincare, candles and even gin! The ones I have found start from as little as £25 and the most expensive is less than £50.

I am a huge Yankee Candle fan & every year I have my eye on the advent calendars, I always try to drop not so subtle hints to Aaron but he's still yet to catch on. The Yankee Candle Advent Wreath is £24.99 and it is included in their online 3 for 2 offer. Inside you will find 24 tealight sized candles with six different scents, including Macaron Treats & Sparkling Cinnamon!

Bomb Cosmetics are a range I have loved & tried but i've never seen their advent calendars before so I was really excited when I saw their Bomb & Soap Advent Calendar! For £30 you will receive 24 of the brands bestselling homemade and natural soaps & bath blasters including Butter Blizzard, Let It Snow & Candy Box.

I actually had the L'Occitane advent calendar a couple of years ago after spotting it in their shop whilst in Bruges for the Christmas markets and I was really impressed! It hosted a range of their best selling skincare and also some lovely little Christmas themed bits such as gold star confetti and gift tags. This year the advent calendar is fully skincare based, including their Shea Butter Lip Balm, Almond Soap & Citrus Verbena Shower Gel. The L'Occitane Advent Calendar is £49 so at the top end of my £50 budget but also really worth the money for such a luxury brand.

Jack Wills is a brand that never crossed my mind when it came to advent calendars so when I stumbled across their beauty offering for as little as £35 I was really pleased! The Jack Wills Beauty Advent Calendar holds a range of skincare, fragrance and nail care so there really is something for everyone.

The most expensive calendar in this post is the 12 Days Of Christmas Gin Advent Calendar for £49.99! This 12 day calendar holds premium gin brands handpicked by a gin enthusiast, so behind each door you will find a miniature bottle. This would be a really lovely gift for someone who loves their gin as traditionally a 12 day advent calendar is meant to be opened on Christmas day & you'll countdown to New Years!

I hope this has given you some ideas of what to treat yourself or gift to somebody else. I think my firm favourite is the Yankee Candle & the L'Occitane calendar. Which is yours?

If you DO love chocolate, which advent calendar will you be opting for? Are you a cadbury's gal like me?
